The weather is definitely changing here in the Berkshires which is bringing out all of those flannels and pumpkin spice flavored drinks, foods and candles. Fall is one of my favorite seasons. Growing up in Southern California I never experienced seasons changing. I mean yes there was a "winter," nights were colder, the ocean water was freezing, and people wear their Uggs and winter coats. It's nothing like the seasonal changes we experience. With the cold nights here the leaves stop their food process and Chlorophyll starts to break down, giving us all those amazing reds, yellows and oranges.
It goes by too fast though. There's a saying I've heard many times about the Berkshires "If you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes." Before it's too late and all those leaves have fallen off the trees get out and take a hike, go for a ride up Greylock (which already has snow on it.) Just get outside! I promise you, you won't regret it!
